Debt Settlement - 5 steps to freedom
Several years ago on a plane trip Ron Blue sat next to a distinguished looking gentleman. The man asked Ron what he did for a living.
Ron told him about his financial practice based on great principles, and summarized the five key steps to financial success he had derived from his study of the Word. The man listened intently, agreeing that each one was crucial.
Ron was feeling pretty good about himself, sharing his chagrin when he discovered the man was chairman of the House Ways and Means Commitee - a financial expert if there ever was one!
Even so, his assessment of the principles Ron teaches was "right on the money." He recognized that these principles are true ... even if most people - and the government itself - rarely follow them.
Here are those five keys to financial success:
1. Understand the divine principles. Your involvement in this series show you've made a commitment to know His will for your financial life.
2. Adopt a non-consumptive lifestyle. Live simply, frugally. Make saving a priority to enable you to reach the financial goals He sets before you.
3. Avoid the use of debt. As we've seen, nothing is more destructive to your financial health than debt.
4. Keep your liquidity high. As we'll see in Session 4 (of the DVD), a wise investor follows a step-by-step strategy. The first steps involve making sure you have adequate emergency funds (liquid assets) you can use quickly.
5. Set long-term goals. In our next session we'll learn how to set goals that are achievable. Because if you aim at nothing, you'll hit it every time.

Look again at those five keys listed above. Put a checkmark beside the ones you feel you are currently following. Are you satisfied with the number of checkmarks? If not, ask Him to use the remaining sessions of this series to impress His truth on your life. To make His principles real. To give you the strength and wisdom to apply them everyday.
